I loved the dual-level room with tatami floors and private garden access. The air conditioning kept us cool, and the cozy vibe was perfect to unwind after exploring. Having two Western beds upstairs was a nice plus.

I was delighted by the tatami mat area in my room, which added a cozy and traditional touch to my stay.
The bathroom was quite tiny, lacking shelves for my toiletries, which meant I had to rely on common areas for storage.

The cozy atmosphere truly stood out to me. My room featured a lovely tatami mat area, offering a unique touch that I absolutely loved. I enjoyed the air conditioning, which kept the room comfortably cool during my stay. The private entrance to my room added a special charm, making it feel like a personal retreat. The hotel's location near several attractions made it easy to explore, with Kiyomizu-dera just a short walk away. On the downside, the futons could have been thicker for better comfort. The pillows were a bit lacking in support, affecting my sleep quality. Additionally, the bathroom could use more frequent cleaning, as I found it unkempt during my visit. Although these issues didn't ruin my experience, they did slightly detract from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Had a blast at Kyomachiya Hotel Mifuku! Love the blend of traditional charm with modern comfort. Our room had a cozy tatami area, and we enjoyed access to a private garden. A bit of a trek to the downstairs bathroom, but no biggie!

missingWrote a review on Oct 29garden viewcomfortable acmorning bells
Nice room with a lovely garden view that really sets the mood. The comfortable AC made the heat outside bearable.
The hotel sits on a bit of a hill, which might be a hassle for those with heavy luggage. Morning temple bells at 5 AM weren't the best wake-up call, and there was a faint odor upon entering that faded with time. Also, all those random LED lights from the AC and alarms can be a nuisance for light sleepers.

A cozy retreat near temples
The spacious room offered a pleasant ambiance with the lovely scent of wood throughout. The staff were incredibly helpful, making recommendations that enhanced our Kyoto experience.
However, the futons were a bit thinner than expected, which affected overall comfort. Additionally, the pillows needed more support for a restful night.

missingWrote a review on Sept 25western bedsdirty bins
the so-called 'traditional' touches are ruined by western beds, just what's the point? Also, the bins weren't emptied in 3 days. how do they define 'clean'? i expected to be pampered, but alas, no welcome gift or room upgrade, i was treated like just anyone else. i almost gave this place a chance, but how could i?
